'Grape' Chalcedony - West Sulawesi, Indonesia

Collected winter 2016
 
Deep violet purple crystal aggregate of sparkly spheres made up of radiating microcrystals growing together in botryoidal aggregates.
 
This one is very three dimensional and can be viewed from any angle. It also has the wonderful addition of having some greenish tones from inclusion of Celadonite.
It is growing on a ‘rib’ of chalcedony and displays well.
There is some damage to the rear but the main display is perfect.
