Mottramite (type Locality)
Mottram St. Andrews
94 x68 x27mm
Recovered by Richard Barstow, the renowned British collector, in the 1970's. The specimen comprises a plate of matrix with the display face completely covered by black mammalated / botryoidal Mottramite.
Not the prettiest of specimens, but extremely interesting for a type locality species and the collecting provenance. Could do with further cleaning.
From the Ralph Sutcliffe collection, with label.
