A geode is lined with rhombohedral calcite crystals which have been coated by a bright white chalcedony. This has in turn been liberally dusted in sugary drusy micro quartz crystals giving a brilliant sparkle like sunshine on a fresh dusting of snow.
An attractive display specimen from France.
I purchased this from the Bakewell show in 2003 and it has been residing in my collection since then.
